    The aspect playground

In a chart, planets that sit at certain distances from each other are said to “talk” to each other. That distance, measured as an angle around the circle, is called an . Here you can see how it works with just two planets.

    1. The circle is the sky all around the Earth, like the wheel of your chart. The Sun (the filled circle at the top) stays still.
    2. Drag the Moon (the hollow circle) around the circle, or select it and use the arrow keys.
    3. The big number shows how far apart they are, in degrees. A full circle is 360°.
    4. The little marks are the five special angles: 0°, 60°, 90°, 120° and 180°. Each one appears on both sides, because you can measure from the Sun either way round. When the Moon reaches one, a line appears and the text explains what it means.
